This is a 5mm blue goldstone cabochon, set in a sterling silver bezel, on a slim sterling silver band.
Goldstone is a beautiful sparkly manmade ‘stone’; it is said that it was accidentally discovered by Italian monks practising alchemy who spilt molten copper into molten glass. In blue goldstone the sparkly flecks are made of cobalt giving them a silvery appearance which give the impression of a starry night sky.
Blue Goldstone is said to be a stone of confidence and ambition, encouraging motivation and drive.
