Moss agate is a semi-precious gemstone formed from silicon dioxide. It is a form of chalcedony which includes minerals of a green color embedded in the stone, forming filaments and other patterns suggestive of moss. Moss agate can be clear or milky white, with green dendritic inclusions that resemble moss. These beautiful agates have a lovely natural earthy look with interesting, mossy markings that appear to have been suspended within the stone. Colours range from almost solid dark green through to milky white with mossy markings.
Moss agate is said to encourage tranquility, emotional balance, energy of growth, and new beginnings.
