Jasper, an aggregate of micro-granular quartz and/or chalcedony and other mineral phases, is an opaque, impure variety of silica, usually red, yellow, brown or green in color; and rarely blue. Ocean Jasper (also known as Orbicular Jasper)is a variety of jasper which contains variably-coloured orbs or spherical inclusions or zones in white and cream, greens, oranges, pinks and browns. Each stone is unique.
Ocean jasper is seen as a stone of protection, patience and nurturing which is said to provide calm, uplifting energy to the holder in trying times, feeding into a more optimistic outlook on life.
